Creativity and literary heritage of one of the brightest representatives of the national
literature of the early XX century, Sabit Donentayuly, requires a more in-depth study. Socio-political lyrics,
multigenric publicism, which is written in a spirit of awakening, needs a new understanding required by the
paradigm of the modern literary criticism. One of the topical issues is the analysis of fables and satirical
songs as highlighting the creative edge of the literary quest of the poet. The article deals with the fables
of one of the prominent representatives of the national literature Sabit Donentayuly. Literary searches,
peculiar facets of the creative work of the master are analyzed. A thematic-ideological core of fables and
satirical songs is revealed. An evaluation of the literary depiction of the contradiction of time and human
principles in the genre of fables is given. Negative phenomena such as arrogance and hypocrisy, which are
criticized by the poet, are relevant to this day.
