Abstract

The article discusses the formation of a secondary linguistic personality based on the
analysis of the relationship of communicative competence of a native speaker and a secondary linguistic
personality. The study of this aspect involves the use of linguistic, sociolinguistic, psycholinguistic,
psychological, and pedagogical studies of bilingualism. An analysis of the two language systems of a
linguistic personality makes it possible to identify differences and similarities in structures and elements in
a native and target languages, which, in turn, allows determining the features of learning a foreign language,
norms of behavior, and extra-linguistic knowledge. Research of features of communicative competence
