Language occupies an important place in the development of any state, since language develops in direct contact with the thinking, history, culture, and worldview of the people. Assessing the works of foreign and domestic scientists and classifying the heritage of the Middle Ages by linguistic features, one can notice that Turkic written monuments in different periods were written in different alphabets, for example, using runic, Uighur, Manichaean, Brahma, Arabic, Latin, Armenian, Chagatai, and Cyrillic. Based on the use of Armenian graphics, it was also established that in the Middle Ages, the heritage of the Turkic peoples, including the Kipchaks, was written in a variety of genres and has reached our days as a written monument. In the modern public life of Kazakhstan, the need to study the monuments of the Armenian Kipchak script is especially acute.
We seek the origins of the Kazakh language and the Kazakh nation in the Qypchak community, which was formed in the ancient Turkic period and flourished in the Middle Turkic period. Historical and linguistic works written about the history, language and culture of the Qypchak community, which in the Middle Ages occupied the territory from Central Europe to Northern China, show that the subject of the Qypchak is relevant in modern science. This direction aims at a comprehensive study of the history, language, ethnography, culture and other aspects of the nomadic steppe civilization, comparing the origins and roots of the Qypchak ethnic groups with their present state and revealing traces of historical continuity. The article examines the work of the German scholar Adalbert Merx "Türkische Sprichwörter" (Turkic proverbs and sayings), written in 1893 and stored in the library of the Bayerische Staats Bibliothek Muenchen, where proverbs and sayings in the memorable language are read directly from the Armenian graphics, revealing the relevance and scientific value of the topic.
