Common features of the blessing ceremony in some folklore and musical genres

Study determines that the textual and performing features of bata tradition find
common features in folklore and musical genres, such as betashar and zharapazan. These genres origin rooted in the ancient Turkic era and reached us, their formation stages, poetic features, vital importance and variety of functions as an educational tool for the current generation are analyzed. In
musical folklore genres “zharapazan” and “betashar”, bata role is traced. “Bata beru” is performed in the form of two-line poem with paired rhyme, similar to “bayt”, whereas in zharapazan and betashar one can notice intonation and mode development of musical melody that adorns bata text. Text is based on bata poems and expressed thought is concise. Mongols called blessing “yerool” and
template words used in it, are similar to Kazakh blessing.
Scientific and analytical part of article examines zharapazan, betashar and bata, documented
from local population and tribesmen (Kandas) who migrated to Saryarka from abroad during
independence period. Scientific analysis of article summarizes their common features. Data on the texts of zharapazan and betashar, also on bata types presented in the article, were selected during research expeditions in Akmola and Karaganda regions, within which new materials from oral folk art were collected.
