Abstract

One of the basic concepts of the Kazakh national concept sphere - the concept of
“village”, which is expressed in the poet’s works with various of linguistic units as a direct manifestation
of national being, mentality. Since the concept of “village” collects national values in itself, it is often used
in poetry as a contrasting pair to the concept of “city”. This contrasting concept, which is very important
for conceptual information of a literary text, reflects the verses of Kazakh poets of different periods, which
can show the dynamics of changes in the mentality of the nation
