The concept of ‘Time’ in English and Kazakh proverbs is an interesting object of research in the context of cultural and philosophical aspects of time perception. Proverbs, as an expression of folk wisdom, are an important tool for understanding how different nations perceive and value time. This paper explores the reflection of the concept of time in proverbs, identifying similarities and differences in its perception. Comparative analysis of proverbs about time in English and Kazakh languages has revealed not only differences in approaches to its understanding, but also common features, such as awareness of its significance and irreversibility. While in English linguoculture time is often seen as a key factor on the way to efficiency and success, Kazakh people give time a philosophical significance. In analysing the views and positions reflected in the worldviews of the two peoples, a comparative research method was used. This study contributes to a deeper understanding of cultural differences and similarities, as well as determines the role of language as a means of expressing cultural values. The work can serve as a basis for further research in the field of cultural anthropology and linguistics, as well as open new perspectives for studying the relationship between language, culture and worldview of a particular nation.
