The article aims to analyze research activity of the authorial position and creative features in prison literature. A systematic analysis of the global research dynamics of prison literature between 2015 and 2025 was conducted. The review methodology was based on PRISMA principles. The findings provide a foundation for characterizing global trends in prison literature research and identifying future research prospects. The results indicated a high prevalence of research on prison literature in the USA and the UK, compared to relatively limited research in Canada, Romania, Asia, Australia, and African countries. These indicators suggest that the study of prison literature still requires further development and in-depth exploration. The research helps determine the role of prison literature in reflecting socio-cultural phenomena and its impact on improving the justice system, human rights, and the rehabilitation process. Prison literature holds a distinctive place in literary studies, contributing to the understanding of interconnections between literature and society through the analysis of the stylistic, thematic, and aesthetic features of literary works. The study enables the evaluation of the literature's contribution to the development and humanization of society.
