The article analyzes the theme of wisdom in the works of the founder of the Kazakh literary language, the poet Abay Kunanbayev and the founder of modern Arabic literature, the poet Ahmed Shawki. The analysis examines the main issues, themes, conclusions, and opinions about the works of poets. Abay’s works were also studied directly and Shawki’s works were translated from Arabic into the Kazakh language. The study considered opinions and studies on the works of Abay’s «Be picky», «The teacher never gets tired», «I didn’t think about knowledge as I was young» and Shawki's «Return to the Motherland», «The most important Events in the Nile Valley», Bow to the Teacher» and conclusions were drawn. The works of Abay and Shawki try to reveal all kinds of meanings of their souls, and their artistic features are vividly reflected everywhere. They remain wise poets who are always looking for truth and wisdom, have a wide range of ideas and opinions, and want to have the best qualities given by the Creator.
