Literature is a dynamic phenomenon that is constantly changing and being updated. The change in the literary process is directly related to the socio-cultural life of society. The works of a modern representative of Kazakh literature Askar Altay, who knows how to use the latest innovations in works of art, really require special scientific study. The difference between the author’s works is the use of intertextuality in accordance with the storyline. The purpose of the work is to determine the expression of the intertextual feature used by the writer in the works.
Special attention in the writer’s work is paid to the issue of the peculiarities of the way of thought transmission. The author rationally uses intertextuality in the transmission of the main idea. Concretizes the content of thought by integrating pre-existing legends into the main storyline. Based on the integration of a real-life event into the content of the work, the author throws new thoughts to the reader, contributes to the reader’s acquisition of new knowledge.
Another special motif in the author’s work is the way of seeing dreams. In the works of Askar Altay, the motif of dreams is used as an artistic method of conveying the truth, giving the hero a vision, guiding the hero. The way of seeing dreams in a work of art gives a new character to the development of the content of the work. The dreams of the heroes of the work are reflected in the preface to the upcoming event.
The written work consists of an introduction, results, discussion and conclusion. To identify the intertextual specificity in the author’s works, several short stories of the writer and the novel "Altaydyn alkyzyl modagayy" were analyzed. As a result of the research, the textual features of the author’s works were discussed.
