Abstract

Word formation as a section of a language never loses its relevance, since a language
is a complex, dynamic system that is in constant motion. The dynamics of language constructs gives rise
to the formation and consolidation of new word forms and combinations in the language using various
methods and types of word formation. In Russian, the main methods of word formation remain customary
and non-customary, which are associated with language changes caused by socio-economic and political
changes in society at the turn of the centuries. This article analyzes the derivational potential of of nonusual vocabulary in the Russian language, as one of the most active methods of derivation.
