Abstract

The article deals with the history of the place names of Beskaragai, Borodulikhin Shemonaich
district of East Kazakhstan region. The toponymy of this region, like any other territory, is very heterogeneous,
complex and consists of many layers. By looking at the history of origin and analyzing the structure of toponymic
values, the authors classify them according to etymological and derivative semantic characteristics.
