The article deals with the artistic images of Almaty and Astana cities (now NurSultan), former and current capitals of the Republic of Kazakhstan, recreated at different times
in the artistic world of the novel «Almatians» («Almatylyktar») by Baubek Bulkyshev, story
«Guest» («Meiman») by Serik Asylbekovich, novel «Moonlight darkness» («Ai karangysy») by
Turysbek Sauketaev, novel «White Orda» («Ak Orda») by Dukenbai Doszhan.
From the first part of unfinished novel«Almatians» («Almatylyktar») by Baubek Bulkyshev
readers for the first time had a unique possibility to know about the life of Almatians before the
Second World War, the image of Almaty in 70-s of the XX century is shown in the story «Guest»
(«Konak») by Serik Asylbekovich, we can see a real image of Almaty in the light of December
events of 1986 from the novel «Moonlight darkness» («Ai karangysy») by Turysbek Sauketaev,
the novel «White Orda» («Ak Orda») by Dukenbai Doszhan is devoted to such landmark event
for our Republic as the transfering of the capital of the country from South to North. The article
discloses the connection between the artistic world created in these works and the real historical
events of that time, makes a literary and theoretical analysis of narrative events and images, makes
an evidential conclusion that the Kazakh literature formed the concepts of «culture capital», «life
capital» and also the concept of «capital» was appeared
