Abstract

This article examines the skills of writer I. Essenberlin truthfully and realistically
describe historical facts, as well as the ability to search and collect materials for the compilation of a
portrait of historical personalities.
To fully depict the portrait of each historical person, the writer relied on folk chronicles, historical
documents and studies of historians of his generation. This is an indication that the image of historical
personalities in the writer’s work is truthfully conveyed
