Abstract

This article aims to consider the communicative features of poetic texts zhyrau. As a
result of the analysis, the author proves that despite the peculiarity of the oral appearance, the poetic texts
of Kazakh zhyrau are a product of culture, creativity and spiritual activity generated by a certain epoch, and
a phenomenon that transmits such spiritual wealth from generation to generation. In the communicative function of the text, the interaction between the addressee and the recipient
is the most urgent. The length of the “fate” of the text is directly related to how it is perceived, to what
extent it was remembered in the recipient’s consciousness. Interpretation and perception of the poetic text
zhyrau differs in its features. Along with the main author, several co-authors appear: the author’s initial
idea is preserved, and the way of its transmission (linguistic and non-linguistic methods) develops, will
be changed by subsequent additional authors (they themselves initially participated as listeners, and then
went on to additional authors, passed on to others, the role of the addressee is converted to the role of
recipient).
On the basis of the research, the author suggests the stages of poetic communication of the
text zhyrau (pre-communicative, verbal, post-communicative), interaction of the author-zhyrau and the
speaker-recipient , the role of “background knowledge”, thesaurus, text interpretation, extra-linguistic and
paralinguistic (nonverbal) factors in understanding and perception of the poetic text.
