The article analyses Zhusup Balasagun’s work «Kutadgu bilik» written in 1069, one of the literary
masterpieces of the Karakhanid era. It indicates some errors in the recognition of this work, raises the question of the need to study it in a new way in the field of modern Kazakh literary science. The study is based on the
full version of «Kutadgu Bilig» developed by R.R.Arat. The full text is divided into five sections, each section
is analyzed separately. This determines which text does or does not belong to Yusuf Balasaghuni and what
percentage of the total book each chapter represents. The results of the analysis are confirmed by the conclusions
of world and domestic scientists, such as R. R. Arat, R. Dankof, A. Dilashar, A. Kuryshzhanov, N. Kelimbetov, A.
Kyraubaeva, A. Egeubaev The structural analysis of the work of art serves as the basis for the implementation
of the main idea, the Zhusup’s idea. The results obtained in the study are important for the recognition of
«Kutadgu Bilig» work.
