Abstract

The study was carried out on the material of the National Corpus of the Russian
language. It has theoretical and practical significance both for writers, linguists, and theologians. For
the first time, poetic and poetic texts of works of the 19th century are considered as a metaphorical model of understanding suffering embodied in the Book of Job.
