The article analyzes sayings of the famous Alash figure - Ahmet Baitursynly. It
emphasizes relevance in determining spirit of the awakening era. The wise sayings of Ahmet
Baitursynuly give a clear picture of his activities in the field of education, art, science, as well as the
national press, which is inherent in the specifics of the Alash Renaissance. It is revealed that words of
the aphorisms of Ahmet Baitursynuly are the source of the manifestation of the national spirit,
nationalist feeling, state consciousness in the spiritual and political struggle of the awakening era. Thus,
there is determined a role of wise sayings in recognizing the multifaceted creative personality, sociopolitical and state activities of the reformer. The analysis of edifying words about the importance of
education, mastery of art, the importance of science, as well as calling for professional skills and
instructions, of the educator who devoted his entire life to political equality and spiritual development
of Kazakh people. The article focuses on the value of the wise sayings of the founder of Kazakh
linguistics and literary studies Ahmet Baitursynuly about native language, culture, and art of speech.
The article determines thematic relevance and ideological orientation of wise sayings and aphorisms by
analyzing specific articles and scientific works of the spiritual mentor of the nation. The article assesses
the viability of the utterance in the field of methodological problems of language teaching, alphabetic
problems in combination with modern domestic educational principles. It analyzes a depth of the
aphoristic heritage in the context of the formation of the Kazakh professional journalism. The article
presents an overview of the aphorisms and evaluates the scientist's sayings in articles and reports in
Russian, which are characterized by a broad outlook, a deep worldview, and a national mentality.
