Internationalization of higher professional education involves changes aimed at improving
the quality of education and science. Increasing the level of international academic mobility influences on
the emergence of new forms of international cooperation. Internationalization provides a great opportunity
to develop the knowledge, competencies and skills of students. There will be new opportunities for mutual
cooperation of local and foreign lecturers and acquaintance with the culture of another country through
the Collaborative Online International Learning program (COIL). This is a great way for students to receive
international and multicultural education, exchange knowledge through virtual mobility, cooperation
in the field of Higher Education, the development of intercultural competencies and digital skills.
Internationalization at the university is a process of international or global integration in education, research
and knowledge exchange. The article deals with investigatin of forming linguocultural competencies of
students on the basis of Internationalization at Home. Atheoretical and thematic analysis of the scientific work
of domestic, Russian and foreign scientists and researchers was carried out to fully understand the terms of
linguistics, linguoculturology, linguoculturological competencies, the phenomenon of internationalization.
The analysis of literature makes it possible to assess the significance of the research work, justify it with
theoretical and methodological positions. The scientific literature reviewed by the research group will
contribute to further practical work.
