Abstract

This article examines peculiarities of the improvisational art of Kazakhs and
Kirghiz, whose history and culture have much in common. Based on the analysis of different opinions
of scientists and researchers, the literary value and historical moments of improvisational co-creation
of akyns of the two peoples are examined. Among them, there is a special highlight between the
Kazakh akyn Suyunbai and the Kyrgyz akyn Katagan, the Kazakh akyn Sarbas and the Kyrgyz akyn
Kalmyrza, the Kazakh akyn Kantarbai and Kyrgyz akyn Arystanbek. Along with the above stated
in this article, the analyzed aitys between Katagan and Suyunbai and Arystanbek and Suyunbai the
author comes to the conclusion that these different names belong to one and the same figure. Specific
examples illustrate the relationship of the goodwill of the two peoples.
Besides akyns in some cases note and notice the negatives of the opposite side. The article also
talks about the contributions of Kazakh and Kyrgyz akyns to the development of the spiritual culture
of their peoples.
