The article analyzes the concept of "crime" in the Kazakh legal discourse in the
context of linguistic and cultural studies. It is determined that legal discourse is implemented in
order to regulate and control social relations in the life of society, is connected with certain cultural
values of members of society and is based on a system of concepts stabilized in the semantic space
of the language through various conceptual structures.
Legal discourse, which determines the general system of Public Order and social control, is
a semantically differentiated structure. Concepts of legal discourse organize the legal system as a
special social phenomenon. The conceptual composition of legal discourse forms the conceptosphere
of law. Legal concepts that are recognized as social regulators of public relations are dominated by
a cumulative character. Legal concepts are recognized as a complex phenomenon that has a complex
content of cognitive concepts in the language consciousness of a particular collective. It serves as the
basis for studying legal concepts in legal discourse in connection with national values based on the
peculiarities of national culture on the basis of "orientation from culture to individual
consciousness".
