The meaning of the text and the history of its development are updated over
time. The proof is the multifaceted nature of the text. The main property of the text is in its
communicative function. This quality fully reveals the meaning of the literary text. Text is not
only a usual form of communication, it reveals all the facets of the word – direct, hidden, imagery
as well as hint, integration, symbolism, methods of monologue and dialogue. Moreover, the text
has imagery, pictorial, general and personal information. At the same time, the text is a special tool
for the preservation and transmission of the word; through it we transmit the image of a certain
historical era, social status, state, feelings and psychology inherent in man. Literary, philosophical,
linguistic definitions, given to the text, explain its multifaceted nature.
