Baizhigit bota_bs90@mail.ruL.V. Safronovadinass2002@mail.ruM.A. Kanafinakanafina.m60@mail.ru
The purpose of this article is to investigate the phenomenon of polyphony in A. Kim's prose, which manifests at various levels of its poetics, primarily in speech perversions. The plot core of the novel Joys of Paradise, the main object of analysis in this article, is rooted in Indian philosophical and religious traditions of the transmigration of the soul, "samsara". In the final transmigration, where the soul is meant to achieve perfection, the protagonist's "soul" receives a vessel in which it attains its goal and will no longer wander the world in search of the Joys of Paradise. The attainment of this harmony is marked in A. Kim's novel by the renunciation of the disharmony in the author-hero's speech sphere, and the removal of the leitmotivic speech schism. Schism, absurdist tendencies in the speech and imagery of A. Kim's works Squirrel and Settlement of Centaurs are conditioned by the polyphony of voices, character transformations, the "quartering" of the hero's personalities, animism, various types of neologisms, a wide associative array of metaphorical expressions, and synonymous lexical and syntactic constructions that unite incompatible elements.
2025-12-29T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Bulletin of L.N. Gazizovgibrat_01@mail.ru
In substantiating the image of historical figures in a work of fiction, every writer, poet-writer gets fully acquainted with the life of this person, historical data, and literature of that period. In Kazakh literature, the image of heroes who showed heroism during the war and the creation of the Kazakh Khanate, the image of great personalities built during the development of the country and educational events of the twentieth century, is illustrated in works of art. The article analyzes in detail the image of the activist Alash, a prominent representative of the national liberation movement, poet and master of leadership Mirzhakip Dulatovich in fiction. The reflection of the existence and social activity of a historical personality in fiction is differentiated on the basis of the works of different writers. In particular, the analysis of the image of Mirzhakyp in the works of such poets and writers as A. Tanirbergenovich, A. Naimanbaevich, M. Zhumabaev, S. Seifullin, M. Titakovich, B. Mailin, T. Jurtbai, J. Abdirash, S. Turgunbekuly and E. Toleubai will be carried out. The distorted images of the Soviet era and realistic and positive assessments of the independence period are relatively considered. In addition, the article says: "Wake up, Kazakh!" profoundly reveals the influence of the slogan on national consciousness, the fate of the prison, the image of a victim of political repression, and the spiritual image in poetry and drama. Through the artistic image of the figure, the national history, the idea of independence and the desire for historical justice are revealed.
2025-12-29T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Bulletin of L.N. Ekicimekici@yahoo.com
Among the most distinctive works of the Turkish epic tradition are the manuscripts containing the sayings, poetic passages, and epic narratives attributed to Dede Korkut. Four manuscripts of these works are known today.
Rich in language, literature, history, and folklore, they form an essential part of Turkic cultural heritage. The third manuscript, known as the Turkistan Türkmen Sahra Manuscript of Dede Korkut, holds particular significance due
to its abundance of toponymical (place name) elements. The manuscript studies the place names found in this manuscript. First, the place names appearing in the twenty-three poetic passages are presented, followed by those occurring in the epic narrative titled “Salur Kazan’s Slaying of the Seven-Headed Dragon.”
These are organized and categorized in tables. At the end of the study, the cultural significance of the identified place names within the context of Turkish culture is discussed, without delving into etymological analysis. The researcher categorizes place names under three main headings: natural features (land, water, mountains, passes), cities, and countries or regions. These toponyms
encompass a wide geography from China to Europe and from Siberia to India, reflecting the lands, capitals, and cultural environments historically inhabited by Turkic peoples.
2025-12-29T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Bulletin of L.N. Kamarovanagbdu.kamarova@yu.edu.kz
The article examines ideological and artistic features of Kekilbaev’s The End of the Legend. This work, which attracted attention with its innovation, revealed the hero's soul with great artistry, deeply immersing itself in his inner world. Using the example of the writer's work, the characteristics of the ‘intertwined style’ are considered, in which the author's narration and words, thoughts, and inner state of the hero's soul are intertwined in the writer's works, which was a novelty in our literature at the time. Influence of the existentialism movement, emphasizing various mysteries of humanity in the 20th-century philosophy, can be observed on ideological concept of the novel. The need to understand the unique essence of human life, to trace the inner world of a person by depicting his spiritual and emotional nature from a psychological point of view attracted the attention of readers. In modernist literature his world of feelings, the peculiarities of perception of events happening around him, the depiction of thoughts, impressions, and the state of the soul through the ‘stream of consciousness’ manifests itself in the poetic style of the writer. Ideological and artistic features of the novel are analyzed from the aspect of individual stylistic features of the author.
2025-12-29T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Bulletin of L.N. On the basis of convincing arguments, the character, mentality and spiritual characteristics inherent in our people are considered, that is, the foundations of national values revealed through the tropes and expressive means of language. The point is that the poet's poetry is divided into thematic and genre forms, such as political and social lyrics, philosophical lyrics, civic lyrics, nature and love lyrics, and sometimes even intertwines with each other and is reflected in the same work. The study also highlights that Moldagaliyev’s poetry from 1960 to 1990 became richer in terms of linguistic expression and artistic style, while his ideas grew more profound. Works by Zhuban Moldagaliyev as one can clearly observe the manifestation of national values such as patriotism, respect for the homeland and native land, glorification of ancestral customs and traditions, strong familial bonds and brotherhood, honesty, hospitality, reverence for parents, women, younger sisters, and elders. Using a descriptive survey design, data were collected from 113 faculty members across pedagogical universities to examine perceptions of workload, time management, work-balance, and institutional support. The results reveal that excessive workload and administrative responsibilities are major contributors to emotional exhaustion and disengagement from teaching duties. More than half of the respondents reported feeling overwhelmed, while a smaller proportion demonstrated resilience and effective coping strategies. Positive aspects emerged through collegial relationships and recognition, which were found to mitigate burnout and enhance motivation. However, perceptions of administrative responsiveness to faculty concerns regarding stress and well-being were divided, reflecting inconsistencies in institutional practices. The study concludes that burnout is a systemic issue influenced by organizational structures, support mechanisms, and recognition systems rather than solely individual factors. These findings underscore the significance of promoting balanced workloads, strengthening administrative engagement, and fostering a supportive academic culture to sustain teacher wellbeing and productivity within Kazakhstan’s higher education institutions.
2025-12-29T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Bulletin of L.N. The concept of cultural lexicon is defined, and the frequency of usage of this unit in Yasawi’s Hikmets, which explains the sources of our spiritual values and conveys religious understanding in a way appealing to the people's worldview, is examined. It is concluded that each cognitive linguistic unit requires individual analysis. The research was conducted within lexical-semantic and cognitive frameworks. Based on the transcribed version of the Samarkand (Zaleman) manuscript presented in R. Sydyk’s monograph “The Language of Yasawi’s Hikmets,” the study analyzes the cultural lexeme “zhady” and demonstrates its function as a “linguistic unit of memory retention.” It examines the various uses of the linguistic unit “zhady” in Yasawi’s language. The terms “cultural code,” “national code,” “cultural lexicon,” “lexical innovations,” and “cultural lexicon” are explained. Drawing on the works of both domestic and foreign Yasawi scholars, the study demonstrates that it identifies the mechanisms for expanding the lexical inventory within cognitive linguistics. The study explains the phonetic differences between the translation and the manuscript using a historical-comparative method. The practical significance of the study lies in the possibility of applying its results in theoretical courses on lexicology and cognitive linguistics, as well as in seminars related to Yasawi studies.
2025-12-29T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Bulletin of L.N. Asanbaeva asanbaevasaule1970@gmail.com
The article addresses the issues of selecting, adapting, and digitizing texts of patriotic content in the formation of linguistic consciousness. In contemporary educational contexts, the development of linguistic consciousness capable of generating oral and written texts and transforming them into meaningful communication between the author and the recipient is of particular relevance. At the primary school level, learners, in accordance with their age-related cognitive abilities, gradually acquire grammatical awareness and begin to master basic functional styles of language, which creates favorable conditions for integrating value-oriented content into language education. Linguistic consciousness is an interdisciplinary concept widely applied in philosophy, psychology, pedagogy, and sociology, as it reflects the interaction between language, thinking, and social experience. In primary education, this concept is especially important in the process of forming civic competencies through exposure to texts of patriotic content. Such texts contribute not only to language development but also to the internalization of cultural values and national identity. The study is based on a linguistic analysis of patriotic texts used in educational practice. Special attention is given to the principles of age-appropriate selection and adaptation of materials, as well as to the possibilities of digitization using modern educational technologies. Digital formats enhance accessibility, engagement, and multimodal perception of patriotic content. The article argues that the formation of linguistic consciousness should begin in early childhood, ensuring a balanced development of language competence, civic awareness, and cultural identity.
2025-12-29T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Bulletin of L.N. The present research paper is devoted to the examination of the Kazakh language by way of a comparative analysis with the written language, which can be discovered in medieval monuments of the Turkic world, to find out the cognitive features of the language. The history of the adjectives formation shows that, in spite of the absence of any important semantically and categorically peculiarities between adjectives in the Turkic monuments and in the modern Kazakh language, there are phonetic peculiarities. The use of adjectives has morphed through time and depicts changes in form and semantics. This is more so seen in the analysis of indigenous adjectives. An example is a cross-linguistic comparison of the Turkic languages, which identifies two main characteristics of these adjectives, to which this article focuses. Moreover, the research insists that adjectives of modern Kazakh have specific cognitive properties that are formed in the dynamics of the interaction with internal, social, and natural conditions. The main adjectives are divided into such features as color, evaluative and qualitative properties, size and space dimension.
2025-12-29T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Bulletin of L.N. The main purpose of the study is to show that humor is not only entertainment but also a form of social interaction through which values, norms, and shared knowledge are passed from one generation to another. To address this question, the study relies on a set of different approaches. The material is read closely to see how certain stylistic features appear, the meanings hidden between the lines are examined, and the social purpose of each humorous example is considered. In addition, the Kazakh material is compared with humor from other cultures.

The analysis draws on a mixed set of materials. For this research, examples were collected from older oral humor as well as from online platforms where modern users post short, humorous remarks. Examining them side by side makes it clear that older humorous patterns still surface in online communication. The tasks of the research are planned to be achieved by identifying the general essence of the bifurcation phenomenon in synergetics, describing its manifestation in linguistics, and analyzing its function through linguistic evidence. Although the synergetic paradigm (including linguistic synergetics) has become a global trend in various areas of general education, the conceptual foundations of synergetic phenomena have not yet been thoroughly examined. Therefore, this article represents one of the first attempts to define and interpret the term "bifurcation" in linguistics, including its application to the Kazakh language through specific examples and linguistic data.

Theoretical findings contribute to a deeper understanding of the dynamic nature of language systems, including the Kazakh language. Zhonkeshovzhon_bs79@mail.ruY.S. Kasen Kasenov_erlan@mail.ru
This article provides an overview of the phenomenon of integration in science, considered as a theoretical basis for solving current problems of linguistics. Based on the works of researchers published so far, the authors seek to answer the following questions: what is meant by the concept of "integration", what is its role in the formation of emotionally expressive vocabulary, and what models generating emotionally expressive meaning arose as a result of the application of the theory of synergetics. The authors try to prove that the emergence of emotionally expressive words occurs as a result of the integration of several disciplines, namely phonetics and semantics, morphology and emotion, imagery and evaluation. In addition, defining the concepts of synergetics (bifurcation, fluctuation, attractor, chaos), it is proposed to consider chaos as a self-organizing system that creates expressive meanings and expressive structures. Using specific examples from the Kazakh language, the authors try to demonstrate that modern emotional-expressive units once represented a chaotic state, eventually transformed from chaos into attractors, and as a result, stable emotional-expressive models were formed in the language. The article is intended for undergraduates and doctoral students interested in linguistics, literature, psychology, philosophy, cognitive science and other scientific fields, as well as researchers working in these fields.
2025-12-29T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Bulletin of L.N. Malomoshnovaannamaslikova1@mail.ruG.S. Musinovag.musinova@mail.ru
The article presents a comparative analysis of expressive means of speech used in advertising texts of the Soviet period (1950s–1960s) and in contemporary media advertising (print and digital). The aim of the study is to identify lexical and stylistic features of advertising texts from different historical periods and to examine the mechanisms of persuasive influence on the consumer. The research is based on comparative, descriptive, and linguopragmatic methods. The material of the study includes ten advertising posters of the Soviet period and nine contemporary advertising texts promoting similar mass-consumption products. The analysis focuses on lexical and stylistic devices such as epithets, metaphors, and periphrases, as well as on syntactic constructions characteristic of advertising discourse, including imperative forms, question–answer structures, nominative and elliptical sentences. The research findings demonstrate that Soviet advertising texts are characterized by restraint, conciseness, and a predominantly informative orientation, with a limited use of expressive means. In contrast, contemporary advertising exhibits an expanded expressive potential, actively employing emotionally charged vocabulary, figurative nominations, psychological techniques of influence, and dialogic strategies aimed at establishing contact with the addressee. A comparative examination of advertising texts from different historical periods makes it possible to identify the influence of sociocultural and ideological factors on the linguistic design of advertising discourse.
2025-12-29T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Bulletin of L.N. Mursalaigerimmursal@mail.ruA. Amirbekovamarghan01@mail.ruA. Almautovaalmauasya@mail.ru
The article provides a comprehensive analysis of the structural and frequency features of old bookish vocabulary and archaisms in Qazhygumar Shabdanuly’s six-volume novel Qylmys (The Crime). The lexical units found in the text are examined with regard to their historical-semantic features, linguistic nature, and functional roles. The study outlines the theoretical foundations of old bookish vocabulary and its place within the Turkic written tradition. On this basis, the author’s religious, ethical, administrative, and everyday lexical layers are identified and grouped structurally. The obsolete units are compared with their modern equivalents in contemporary Kazakh. Special attention is devoted to the frequency of Arabic-Persian religious vocabulary, its contextual functions, and semantic nuances. Eight analytical tables were compiled to document the meanings and frequencies of these items, providing insight into the author’s linguistic choices. The findings enhance understanding of how historical lexical elements function within the narrative, revealing their frequency patterns and stylistic value. The study refines the semantic scope and contextual features of old bookish vocabulary and contributes to the systematization of the historical lexical corpus. Overall, the results shed light on the author’s motivations in selecting historical lexemes and demonstrate their communicative and aesthetic roles in literary discourse.
2025-12-29T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Bulletin of L.N. Burkitbayevab.j.m@mail.ru
This article analyses the work of local researchers studying the issue of Kazakh non-equivalence. It examines the ways of overcoming non-equivalence in the literary translation of works of Kazakh authors into Russian and English. A review of the key works published in international and local scientific journals over the past five years, from 2020 to 2024 inclusive, is provided. The relevance of the study is determined by the need to preserve the cultural and aesthetic features of the original text when adapting it for a reader in another linguocultural environment. The article focuses on the need for a careful approach to the transfer of non-equivalent vocabulary in the process of literary translation. Based on the full-text analysis and synthesis of the results, it can be concluded that various methods, such as transcription, transliteration, calque, descriptive translation, explanatory footnotes, approximate translation, replacement, and omission, can be used to convey Kazakh non-equivalent vocabulary in literary translation into Russian and English. In the future, we suggest conducting research on how the target audience perceives the translation.
2025-12-29T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Bulletin of L.N. Ismailovagyersultanova@gmail.com
This article explores the challenges translators face when dealing with occasionalisms—unique, author-created words—in literary translation. The main objective of the research is to analyze the strategies used for translating occasionalisms from English into Russian and Kazakh, using J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix as a case study. The study focuses on two prominent translation strategies: domestication and foreignization, and aims to determine which approach is more frequently applied. The significance of this research lies in its contribution to both theoretical understanding and practical application in the field of translation studies. The methodology involves a comparative linguistic analysis of selected examples of occasionalisms and their translated counterparts. The analysis revealed that translators often prefer the strategy of foreignization to preserve the linguistic and cultural specificity of the source text. This choice helps retain the original author’s voice and creative intent. The study contributes to the broader field by shedding light on the complexity of translating occasionalisms and offers insight into effective translation strategies. The practical value of the research lies in its potential application in translation practice, especially in the context of literary works where maintaining the integrity of the original text is crucial.
2025-12-29T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Bulletin of L.N. Zadorozhnayamila.alex.zadorozhnaya@gmail.comA.A. Kutpanova aidana.almabekovna@gmail.comA.M. BadaliyevBadaliyevazatbek@gmail.com
The present study is dedicated to the analysis of the variability of Kazakh proper names, as well as the challenging tasks that arise from the non-standardized usage of computer-assisted translation tools. The authors of the research conducted a translation experiment based on a two-stage survey of respondents whose professional activities are connected with linguistics and translation. The survey was designed based on a thorough analysis of theoretical sources on various aspects of onomastics and digital technologies in translation. In the course of the research, extralinguistic issues were given consideration, including the trend of digitalization and the transition of the Kazakh language in the Republic of Kazakhstan to Latin script. The methodology of the research is based on the hypothesis of an interconnection between a high percentage of variability of Kazakh proper names in English translation and non-standardized usage of computer-assisted translation tools, as well as neural networks. The authors draw conclusions about the application of an interdisciplinary approach to the solution of relevant tasks of onomastics in the context of the theory and practice of translation.
2025-12-29T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Bulletin of L.N.
